| Automator! is a wireless control system for a human, using flash and the flashcom web server, a wireless network, headphones, and a head mounted web cam. There are two participants the player and the bot. The bot wears the headphones and webcam connected to a laptop with a wireless network connection in its backpack. The player uses a game pad to control forward, left, right, u-turn, action/attack. The player's game screen is generated by the bot's web cam. The controls generate sound cues are transmitted to the bot’s headphones. Thus a person plays the role of a person in the real world. What happened: The headphone jack broke on my laptop and we tried to demo it for the class without headphones but the sound cues were stereophonic and total automaton control was compromised. Results: Some animation students got harassed. John needs to get his new laptop fixed. The art world was changed forever! | ![]() |
